it, -" Islam is the religion
of common sense"

Can you imagine if one billion people are having fine luxurious homes while about Five billion people are homeless!  They sleep in the open, under the sky in the chilly winter and the hot summer!  But the privileged ones are happy with this situation.  Most of them don't bother about the less privileged! How could it be?

What is meant by a reverter to Islam? A reverter is a person who has come back to his/her Original Religion of his/her birth. Allah -The Almighty Lord is the owner of all human beings, Angels, Genies and the world (complete universe) and it's contents, Heaven and Hell as well. Allah has created us and given us His Religion, even as He has bestowed us with the Soul and a body from Himself. The Religion of the child is also part of his/her creation, like life given to him or her by Almighty Allah. How can anyone make a counter claim against Allah's claim that you, me and anyone else are the creations (servants) of Allah?

This life is a Test given to us by Allah and we are all responsible for our actions and beliefs before the only God Almighty Allah. Anyone else who claims he/she has a Religion of his / her own other than Islam does not belong to Allah. Allah has given the wisdom to a human being to understand and recognize the Truth that you are from Him and your Religion is from Him that is named by Him as Islam or Surrendering to Him. The opposite of surrender is rebellion and you know against whom you are rebelling? It is Allah, who created you and gives you food and so many other things, Who will also give you death. Now you are requested to return to His Religion which makes more sense than the word conversion.

It is the human duty to show pity on the needy and the people in trouble and help them as per ones' own capacity. Here the real problem is not regarding the home of this world. In the Eternal world where could people live if they do not prepare to get one by their willingness and efforts now in this world itself.

When Astronauts went to space or the moon, they had carried out all kinds of relevant and useful experiments and collected all information and materials for this journey. They had even stored such items that were required for them in a world different from this earth and the life over there was quite different.  They did not do all these while on the journey itself or at the end of the mission. That would be quite impossible. They had devised the plan and used to collect the materials for this journey since long.

Now what about that person who thinks he/she will get Entry to Heaven and all its luxuries and pleasures will be theirs, without any efforts, a firm willingness, beliefs and the path approved by God Almighty Allah who is the Owner of the Heaven ?

This is what hurts Muslims (one billion of them) when they see about 5 billion of their fellow human brothers and sisters are going to lose the chance to entering heaven and instead end up in the permanent dreadful Home of Hell.  How can we, then keep quiet. God commands us to call all with beautiful preaching and good behavior, kindness and wise ways to the Blissful Home of the Heaven. Are we doing any crime by this? or shall we leave them to plunge into despair? They all are our lost brothers and sisters, as we are all from our First Parents Adam and Hawwa (Eve) -peace be upon them. We are all one family.

Can't we invite people to the Religion of our First Parents which is from God Almighty Allah, The God and the Creator of all of us? Forget about those who kill people without justice and breaking God's laws, what ever their names may be. On them is God's wrath. Shall we concentrate on them and their faults and lose our own path, or on God's words?

Surely any wise man's choice is God's commands and words because that brings success and no loss.

"Islam could be a great influence for good in the world if Muslims realized that religious principles are not incompatible with material progress and if they built a worthy civilization on the foundations of their great past, instead of copying materialism and loose standards of morality from other nations".

Back to Basic:

They lived in the same city.  They were well acquainted with his honesty and sincerity. They respected and trusted him for his great qualities of trust and honesty, justice and unparalleled wisdom.  But when he declared the truth of what is going to happen to them in future, instead of believing him they started abusing him.  They banished him from the land.  They plotted to kill him and get rid of him. They fought against him several battles. They saw him doing the miracles. They saw from their own eyes how he broke the moon into two parts! A King who was gazing at the night sky, in Central India saw this event from his palace was frightened at this.  He then got this abnormal event confirmed by sending his couriers, who enquired with other travelers (caravans) and sent gifts to him,  when it was confirmed.  He eventually became his follower. 

In the beginning except a small number of people, most were his staunch opponents and enemies in his very birth place. But what happened later?

In the final rounds, the burden of their opposition and enmity proved heavier against themselves, as the days passed by!  They came to understand after much bloodshed that they were fighting not against this person but a hidden power which they would not be able to defeat by any means. They had to make a decision that would be beneficial for them and their coming generations. They realized ultimately that they were fighting against Him who gave them life, power and energy in their bodies.  For any wise person it would seem, without any doubt, that it was as futile and harmful as boxing against a concrete wall from bear hands or hitting ones' head against it. Their losses and bleak future made them to think them better using their wisdom.  Now their souls could no longer resist the attraction of his words and his noble call.  They had to give up the opposition and compromise with the Truth.

Who were they? They were the pagan (idol worshipper) Arabs of Makkah City!  The Noble caller  was Final Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who gave them the Message of God - through whom God Almighty Allah completed the mission of His only approved Religion- Islam! God started this Mission of Islam with Adam and Ended the Mission with Muhammad. All Prophets of God, including Moses and Jesus had to comply with God's Message and Commands.  The Principle of all Prophets and the Religion they propagated was the same.  But only the Sharia or Laws of God were different at different times.  You will learn about this when you study more about this subject.  Without study of any subject, you will have to believe and follow, blindly, anything any person said or believed!

Let us make a note here about some facts, as it helps to clear some important questions of many Non-Islamic brothers and sisters,  who think < Islam was a recent Religion invented by the Arab people; It's the mixture of Jewish and Christian philosophies;  Allah is a God of Arabs and why should they follow Arabs or accept their God and Religion? The Religion they believe (either Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity etc) is thousands of years older than Islam.  So what is there for Muslims to celebrate?  The answer in short is that :-

The first lessons of Islam were given to the First Man and the First Prophet of God- Adam-peace be upon him.  And thus the journey of mankind started with Islam.  Islam was and is forever, one and the only Approved Religion of God for all mankind.  It is then meaningless to have enmity against the Religion of your Creator.  As you know, Adam was not born to any human parents.  He was created by Allah, The God of all in the Heaven.  There was no Jesus (whom more than one billion people, today, have made as an agent or go between for getting God's Blessings) nor any other Religions in the beginning.

God taught Him the Right path, but still man leaves the path of God and makes dangerous mistakes by following the suggestions of Satan.  Did not Adam and his wife listen to the suggestion of Satan and were stripped of their Heavenly Home and Luxuries ?  (But some thing should have happened to bring them down to earth, their designated destination as per God's plan when He created Adam.  They were not meant to stay over there permanently as God had declared in advance to the Angels that He is going to send man, as His Viceroy on the earth for a test.  Then on the Day of Judgment, He will decide about their good and bad actions). 

God whose Proper Name is Allah (He has 99 beautiful Names) sent about 124,000 Prophets.  They came in different parts of the world, at different times for conveying the lessons or teachings, the way of living etc that they had received from God Himself, through Revelations from God. No people were left without their prophet who will represent them on the Day of Judgment.  God will question the Prophets and their people as to whether the Prophets conveyed His Message properly and what was the reaction of the people to His Message and Religion-
Al  Islam? Even though God knows it very well in advance, but He wants to make it clear or establish truth before giving His Verdict, regarding those who are the wrong doers and who are the obedient ones? He also knows fully well that His Prophets had completely carried out their missions, without any shortcomings or excuses.                    Back to Top

Now coming back to the subject, the pagan Arabs who worshipped Angels as Allah's daughters also had 360 idol gods inside the Holy Ka'ba which was originally built for the purpose of Worshipping Only One God Almighty Allah, by His Command to Prophet Abraham or Ibrahim (peace be upon him) the Patriarch of Jews, Christians and Muslims.

Then came the glorious period in the History of Arabs as well as the world community.  The same Arabs accepted Islam and they spread Islam like wildfire, through their noble qualities in different parts of the world in a shortest period.  How could such a marvelous change take place in the Arab Society,  Which was the Most Corrupt on the Earth,  within the Twenty Three years of Prophet's Glorious Mission? Answer can be found in this simple example:

Suppose, if you are trembling with cold and suddenly if you stand under the hot sun, the sun's bright rays will make your body hot. You will now feel differently (exactly the opposite).  Then it is not surprising to note that the Noble Qualities of the Greatest Prophet Of God, cast a shadow (made influence) on his companions, supporters and followers.  They emitted the same qualities to other people thus bringing in more and more people unto the path of Salvation, Honor (from God) and Success.  Back to Top

Now what is your problem?  If you are already not one among his followers,  you are depriving yourself from the greatest wealth and your chance to secure a place in the Heaven will be lost.  Islam may be a matter of joke for those who are far off from it now.  But it shall cost them dearly and permanently once the time comes for settling the dues before God on the Day of Judgment.  Actually, the result starts unveiling before them after death itself. God has invited all of us to His Mercy and the Heavenly Home through His Messengers and Prophets, who were also human beings like us. 

Please don't lose your only Golden Chance as life can end at any time and then the test is over which means you have failed in the test of God by failing to respond to His Call.  Do you really want failure in the life or in the Test of God Almighty Allah?  Say "no" to Satan's call.  But say "yes" to Allah's call and enter His Heaven by His Grace.

If you want to respond to His Call, then declare the first requirement to qualify for this Greatest Achievement: 
Say: "La Ilaha il-Allah, Muhammad-Ar-Rasoolullah".  Meaning : There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger.  These are like the passwords or like your key for your Permanent Home in the Heaven. Rest is building of our lives around this basic creed of God by following Holy Qur'an -God's Final Book and the Examples of His Final Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Kids know it, don't you then know? : Today even the kids know that if we have enough money we can buy different things from the market. So the truth is that  you have to earn sufficient money of the Eternal World to buy the property, pleasure and home in the Eternal (Hereafter) World after death (in the Heaven of Allah). This is available by having the Faith of God and other beliefs and acts as informed in Holy Qur'an-The Final Book of God.

The following real story is related in a book about hundreds of people from USA to Japan who gave their reasons for becoming Muslims and the circumstances related to their reversion to their original religion of birth. The following is one among them and about the Korean Villagers who accepted Islam en-masse as a Gratitude (thanksgiving) to their Benefactor God Almighty Allah:

The villagers in a certain village of Korea had all the natural gifts in abundance; Timely and abundant Rain, Good harvest, Beautiful conditions for good living etc. They lived a contented life with peace of mind. But a question came into their mind and kept annoying them as they could not find out the right answer.  The question was who was that after all (hidden from them) giving them all these good things of life for free and they wanted to find out so that they could say thanks to him for all those numerous great gifts.  They did not know what to do.  Meanwhile a person among them was a teacher who used to work in the city. Somehow he met a Muslim who introduced him to Islam.  Thus God arranged the villagers the answer to their question and the teacher introduced them to God's Final Book-Al Qur'an and they all accepted the Truth of it without any doubt or fear.

Now do you lack the courage to revert to your old religion, that is Islam, the religion of your birth (not the religion imposed on you by your parents)? The Religion of All Prophets of God from Adam to Muhammad, including Prophets Jesus  and  Moses, Angels, Sun, Moon, Stars - to sum up the whole natural system is Only One that is Islam.

We breathe the same oxygen.  They did the same. We drink water.  Thousands of years before people used to drink water to quench their thirst. That means all the natural requirements of ours are same. Go back a thousand years or more, the basic things remain the same.  The Truth remains the same. It remained the same and shall remain the same.

There are some people who laugh and doubt the fact when it is told to them that Islam is the oldest religion and  the first religion of mankind given by God and of the first man Adam and even  Moses and Jesus! If you think it is not, it does not change the truth. 

Now if anyone still persists in doubt, then it is like a disease and must be cured immediately by good advice of the noble people and good thoughts generated in the heart.

Some times, inside a fridge you may feel very bad smell, then you will wonder what has went wrong?  Before it was good! Now all of a sudden what is the problem; you will wonder and try to find out and clear-up this mess by removing all items out and cleaning etc! 

Now, therefore let all humans who are away from this Universal Truth, remove any enmity against Prophet Muhammad and the Message He has brought for us (The Religion Islam),  clean-up their  hearts and come to Islam like those Koreans who accepted Islam.

The Story of the People of Nineveh:

Nineveh was a town in Iraq where lived  Jonah (Younus) the Prophet of God Almighty Allah.  The people of the town were idol worshippers. Satan had mislead them into believing in falsehood. God wanted to show them His right path. They were accustomed to worshipping those idols like their fathers did. No danger had they faced due to this before from God (because God bears with our faults until such a time as per His Wish and finally He will punish us if we remain blind to the Truth of Him).  Therefore when Jonah warned them of the evil and dangerous results of such an evil act, they ridiculed him and took his warning of God's punishment lightly and even dared him to bring it upon them. He was disheartened and left the place so that they face the punishment of God as he was afraid of Allah's punishment. But that was not acceptable to God.  When the Prophet Noah in the olden times, was ridiculed and challenged by disbelieving people of his town  (in Iraq), God gave sufficient time to them (950 years of preaching did he do to his people, as the life span of the early human beings was very long). Prophet Noah moved away from his people along with about 70 of his believers (Muslims)  on the ship he had built-up, and left his place only when God's command came to do so. His people were destroyed by the great flood recorded in the memory and folklore of all tribes and peoples around the world.  Also, the Prophet Lut (Lot) left his people when the command of God came and then his people were punished by God's command at night.  Prophet Muhammad-the Final Prophet of God also left Makkah for Madina city 1,400 years before only when God commanded him to do so; when the troubles of the miscreants of Makkah increased to the utmost extent and only after sufficient time was given for their reform in conduct and  reversion to Islam-The Religion of God.      Back to Top

Now, in the case of Prophet Jonah, he boards a ship to travel to some place, in the company of other passengers.  But while on the way, they faced a tempest and due to the superstition of the people of those times, they decided to make lots with all the names of the passengers on board.  When the name was drawn, it turned out to be of Prophet Jonah.  They threw him to the river and a whale swallowed him by the Command of Allah.  But God protected him from any harm and he repents for his fault of leaving God's mission and His place without God's command. He praises God in the stomach of the whale.  Then God's help came and he was released from the belly of the whale.

In Nineveh town, meanwhile, the skies began to change the color and the people were filled by fear.  They recalled the plight of the People of Noah, Ad and Thamud on whom God imposed destruction by sending natural calamities. They started crying for Allah's help.  They repented and prayed to God for His Mercy and forgiveness.  Allah accepted their repentance.  He rescued Prophet Jonah and sent him back to Nineveh where the people gave him a surprise welcome. They informed him what had happened after he left them.  They now became the followers of Islam and Allah's Prophet Jonah. So if any town or a city or a country wants to save it from the wrath and punishment of God (assault of God Almighty Allah by heavy winds, earthquakes, floods, volcanic explosions, etc), then they must do good as the people of Nineveh and Welcome Islam.

One must be even ready to sacrifice for such a great cause of saying "Yes" to Allah's call.

Another sister from England comes to Islam : <Not satisfied with the church of England  in which I had been brought up as it lacked vitality and definite authoritative teachings, i became a roman catholic at the age of 20.  my conversion cost me many years of unhappiness because of the opposition of relatives and friends. it made me very unhappy to cause them so much sorrow, but i sincerely believed that the roman catholic church alone had the one true faith and i must do god's will, no matter what the cost to myself or those i loved. i found that the price of unity in the roman catholic church was the giving up of private judgment. I had to believe in the infallibility of the church and in any teaching of the church no matter how contrary to reason. if my reason rebelled, as it often did, i had to tell myself that my reason was wrong and the teachings of the church were above reason.

one example was the belief that every wafer consumed at holy communion is changed into Jesus Christ, both god and man although no change is apparent to the senses. i wondered how a man could be contained in a wafer, and how he could be in so many wafers at the same time, not only in that church, but in churches all over the world.  there seemed to be something repugnant about the idea of consuming human flesh and blood.  nevertheless, I compelled my self to believe that the teachings of the church must be true and I worked myself up into a state of  spiritual ecstasy, by means of prayers, so that I could adore the wafer without arguing with myself or feeling repugnance.

another problem was how the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross could be repeated over and over again without his dying again.  there were a number of other problems. these doubts caused me great unhappiness.  I felt that I was not a good catholic. I also found myself unable to wholeheartedly accept the worship of the virgin Mary and the saints. Catholics do not believe that the mother of Jesus is divine, but they speak of her as the queen of the heaven, mediatrix of all graces etc... and regard her intercession as essential.  i once heard a priest tell a class of school children that a man had been very wicked was saved from hell by one thing-never forgot to pray to " our lady".  i could not reconcile this with the biblical version of christianity- Jesus as the savior of the world. ...for a period of about a year i felt very divided,  as a result of coming into contact with a number of Protestants whose ardor and sincerity matched that of the Catholics.  they presented me with a clear cut alternative to Catholicism, based on the bible alone-unlike the vagueness of a large part of the church of  England.

They believed jesus Christ as savior.  although i admired their simplicity of faith, i could not agree that one is saved by faith alone, nor that one can never lose one's faith once he has accepted christ as savior. after much self-questioning, i was thrown back on an even more implicit obedience to the catholic church to still my doubts. 

i knew little about islam, i was rather prejudiced by reason of certain newspaper articles about the slave trade in Arab countries, polygamy, traffic in drugs and cruelty to animals. i had a vague memory of schooldays,  history of the crusades, which gave the impression that the Muslims were barbaric and intolerant. I remember how my feeling or being torn between the doctrines of Catholicism and Protestantism had driven me to despair and a serious nervous breakdown. would this new quest for truth lead me to an even worse condition? nevertheless, i felt that i could not forget about the Qur'an and go on as if i had not read it. i prayed that god would guide me to the truth. in order to make a just judgment, i imagined that i was a person from a remote place, who had never heard of christianity and i put personal memories and prejudices out of my mind as far as possible.

i considered the possible alternatives regarding the Qur'an. either it was a revelation from god or Muhammad had obtained  his information about histories described in the bible from human sources and had pretended to be inspired by god, or he was inspired by the devil either because he was wicked (may god forgive me) or because he was a well-meaning man who had taken in by the devil. .....A study of Muhammad's character convinced me that he was incapable of  misrepresentation. he was devout, kind, just, forgiving and avoided the sins.....Jesus said: "By their fruits ye shall know them".  a hypocrite can not avoid giving himself away at sometime.  in Muhammad's life there was nothing to cause people to question his sincerity.....

....There is no version of christianity which is really satisfactory. Christians believe that because of the fall of Adam and eve, all human beings are born in a state of original sin, are unable by their own actions to merit heaven. Muslims, however, do not believe that people are punished for the sins of adam and eve. they believe that all human beings are born of innocence and can only lose their hope of heaven by their own sins when they are old enough to be guilty of deliberate wrong doing.  i was impressed by words of the Qur'an : "No laden soul shall bear another's load."  ....the course of research and reasoning which i followed took many months before i felt sufficiently sure to make a declaration of faith in islam.... i was converted as a result of reading the holy Qur' and to some extent by the example of good Muslims.

more over if Britain and Europe were converted to islam, they would again be powerful forces; for good British and European Muslims are some of the best. 

most people in Britain have lost their religion.  they need to be given a new sense of purpose. i hope that Muslims from other countries who come into contact with them will give them a good impression and arouse their interest in islam>

She is a reverter to islam from England.  she says : "I am often asked when and why i became a Muslim? i can only reply that i do not know the precise moment when the truth of islam dawned on me.  it seems that i have always been a Muslim.  this is not so strange when one remembers that islam is the natural religion that a child, left to itself, would develop.  indeed as a western critic once described  it,   " islam is the religion of common sense"  

The more i read and the more i studied, the more convinced i became that islam was the most practical religion and the one most calculated to solve the world's many perplexing problems and to bring humanity peace and happiness. since then i have never wavered in my belief and that there is but one god; that moses, Jesus, Muhammad and others ( peace be on all of them) were prophets, divinely inspired, that to every nation god has sent an apostle, that we are not born in sin and that we do not need any redemption, that we do not need anyone to intercede between us and god- whom we can approach all times.

The word 'Islam' means : 'Surrender to God almighty Allah'. it also means 'peace'.

islam is based on two fundamental truths: 1. The oneness of god and 2. the brotherhood of man"

reverter to islam from christianity : 
" first and foremost i would say it was because fundamentally i had always been a Muslim without being aware of it.  very early in my life i had lost faith in christianity for many reasons, the major one being that whenever i questioned any Christian whether it was a person belonging to the so called holy orders or a layman, regarding any point that puzzled me in regard to the church teachings, i invariably received the monotonous answer : " you must not question the teachings of the church; you must have faith." i did not have the courage in those days to say : 
" i cannot have faith in something that i do not understand", and from my experience, neither do most of the people who call themselves Christians.  what did I do was to leave the church ( roman catholic) and its teaching and to place my faith in the one true god in whom it was much easier to believe, than in the three gods of the church>

<During the time I had believed in 
Christianity I had been led to believe that Islam was only something to joke about....after a while i looked up some Muslims and questioned them on some of the points that were not quite clear to me.  My questions were all answered promptly and concisely, so different from the frustration i had experienced when questioning christianity. after much reading and studying of the religion of islam,  both my daughter and myself decided to become Muslims....If i were asked what impressed me most in the religion of islam, i would probably say the prayers, because prayers in christianity are used wholly in begging god (through Jesus Christ) to grant worldly favors where as in islam they are used to give praise and thanks to almighty god for all his blessings .....>
